Day trip to Alice bel Colle

This is a day trip in the vicinity of Podere Tonette.

Alice bel Colle is only 10km from our place.

Here you will visit a Big Bench which are giant benches that have been placed in Piedmont in places where you have a beautiful view.

Then you will visit the observation tower in the small picturesque village of Alice bel Colle. The observation tower is free to go up and from here you have a 360 degree view, really beautiful!

For lunch we suggest a visit to the neighboring village of Ricaldone and a classic Italian restaurant there.

In the afternoon you will book in for a wine tasting down in Acqui Terme at the Enoteca Regionale, the region's library for wines.

Day trip to the Barolo area

This is a full day trip where you will see the very, very best of the landscape at Barolo, we promise it is magically beautiful!

You will enjoy lunch in La Morra which has a breathtaking view from the main square.

In the afternoon you will book yourself in for a wine tasting on the way to Acqui Terme again, we suggest the famous Borgo Maragliano which is one of the best in the region for sparkling wine from the Alta Langa appellation.

Day trip to Seravalle and Gavi

Seravalle is one of Europe's largest outlet malls and is only a 60 minute drive from our place. This is a quality outlet with lots of famous brands.


Just around the corner from Seravalle you will find Italy's perhaps most famous white wine area called Gavi. The Gavi area is considered by many to be the white jewel in the crown of Piedmont. Here we have listed some winemakers that are well worth a visit.

Day trip to Roccaverano and Canelli

Roccaverano is the highest village in the area, 759 m above sea level and is located 26 km southwest of Acqui Terme. Here you will find a 35 m tower that is free to climb. From here you have a mile-wide view of Piedmont with the Alps in the distance on a clear day.

In the picturesque village there is also a really good restaurant with classic Italian food where you can enjoy lunch.


After dinner you will head towards Canelli and explore the town and maybe even visit a winemaker to see the underground vaults that hide under large parts of Canelli.

Day trip to the Italian Riviera

The Italian Riviera is just over an hour's drive away and attracts many people for sun and swimming in the Mediterranean Sea.


The Italian Riviera is the stretch of coastline that runs along the Ligurian coast towards the Mediterranean Sea. Here you will find many nice coastal towns and picturesque villages by the sea.

The beach at Varazze is just over an hour's drive away.
