Gavi - Wine tasting in the afternoon
On the way home we suggest a wine tasting in the Gavi wine appellation area which has the highest DOCG status. The town of Gavi is only 7km from Serravalle.
There are 11 municipalities around the town of Gavi that have the right to use the appellation name Gavi for their white wines made from the Cortese grape. The Gavi area is considered by many to be the white jewel in the crown of Piedmont.

La Scolca is one of the most famous winemakers in Gavi and is also internationally renowned. They position themselves as a prestige brand for their Gavi wines.
Picollo Ernesto - The vineyard is located at an altitude of around 260 meters above sea level, in Rovereto di Gavi, which is one of the most prestigious areas in the Gavi district.
Broglia - The Broglia family has been making wine in Gavi since 1974. The La Meirana winery began with the dream of a manor house as a summer pleasure and is today one of the largest vineyards in the area.
Located in the town of Monterotondo di Gavi, Villa Sparina Winery also runs a hotel and restaurant. This is a high-class winery that does everything it can to ensure that its customers have an unforgettable experience.
